These terms apply to all quotes, orders and work provided by Sign Expertise (“we”, “us”, “our”), and to your use of this website. By accepting a quote, you agree to these terms. If your written quote says something different, the quote applies.
1. How we work
- Enquiry: you call or email us to discuss your sign.
- Site visit or inspection: where needed, we visit your site, or inspect your vehicle at our workshop, to take measurements and photos.
- Quote: we send you a written quote with the price, materials and estimated timeframe.
- Confirmation: once you approve the quote and pay the deposit, we start design and production.
- Installation or collection: we install your signage, deliver it, or have it ready for you to collect, as agreed.
2. Quotes
- Quotes are based on the cost of materials at the time the quote is prepared, and assume you will supply the information and materials we need on time.
- All quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of the quote. After that, prices may change.
- We quote using high-quality materials and workmanship by default. We can offer lower-cost options on request, but please be aware this may affect quality and lifespan.
- Quotes are prepared in good faith based on the information you provide and what we see on site. If that information turns out to be incorrect or incomplete, we will let you know before any additional costs apply.
3. Deposits and timeframes
- We require a 50% deposit to confirm all orders.
- Production usually takes 7 to 10 working days from your approval of the artwork, or from your confirmation if you supply print-ready artwork. Larger or more complex jobs may take longer, and we will confirm the timeframe in your quote.
- Installation and delivery are charged as additional services. You are also welcome to collect your signage and install it yourself.
4. Design and artwork
- Design work begins once your job is confirmed. If you are not happy with the first concept, we will prepare an alternative design for you.
- Before production, we will send you a proof. Please check all spelling, contact details, sizes and layout carefully. Once approved, we will produce the sign as shown, and any changes or reprints after approval will be charged.
- For best results, please supply high-resolution files. Vector files are required for cut vinyl, with all fonts outlined. We accept EPS, print-quality PDF and JPEG (minimum 150 dpi at half size). Please supply logos and images as separate files, along with a JPEG or PDF preview of the full artwork.
- Artwork can be sent by email or on a USB drive. If a preview is not included, we cannot take responsibility for missing fonts or images.
- You are responsible for making sure you have the rights to use any logos, images or artwork you supply that were not created by Sign Expertise.
- Artwork created by Sign Expertise remains our property until your invoice is paid in full. It may not be reproduced, digitally or in print, for any purpose other than proofing without our written permission.
5. Colour matching
Colours can look different on screen, in print and on different materials and finishes. Cut vinyl comes in set colours, so an exact match is not always possible. We are happy to provide vinyl samples so you can choose in person. We will always match colours as closely as we can, and accurate full-colour printed proofs are available on request for a small fee.
6. Permits and site access
- Some signs need approval from your local council, landlord or shopping centre. It is your responsibility to check with the relevant authority and obtain any permits before installation. We do not apply for permits on your behalf.
- Please make sure we have safe, clear access to the site at the agreed time. If the site is not ready, we may need to reschedule and extra charges may apply.
7. Vehicle signage
- Most vehicle signage can be installed in less than a day. Full vehicle wraps may take longer.
- For an accurate quote, bring your vehicle to our workshop and our team will measure and photograph it. Please bring any logos or images you would like to include.
- Please bring your vehicle back for a free check-up within two weeks of delivery so we can make sure everything has settled correctly.
8. Warranty
- 3D signs and illuminated 3D signs come with a 12-month limited warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship.
- Vinyl stickers and graphics come with a 12-month limited warranty.
- These warranties do not cover damage caused by vandalism, accidents, misuse or changes made by anyone other than Sign Expertise. They also do not cover faults caused by power supplies, devices or accessories that we did not supply or recommend.
9. Returns and your consumer rights
Because every sign is custom made to artwork you have approved, we cannot accept returns for change of mind. If a product is faulty when supplied or after our installation, please contact us with photos and a description, and we will make it right.
Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. Nothing in these terms limits those rights.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, and apart from your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, such as loss of profit or business interruption, arising from the use of our products, our services or this website.
11. Using this website
The information on this website is general and may change without notice. We aim to keep it accurate and up to date, but we do not guarantee that it is complete or error-free. Links to other websites are provided for convenience only.
12. Privacy
We handle your personal information in line with our Privacy Policy.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
